NIC India to Use E-Lock Digital Signature Solutions

Frontier Technologies Corporation (E-Lock) announced today that National Informatics Center (NIC) India would be using E-Lock's desktop and web-based document signing solutions and that E-Lock's wholly owned subsidiary in India - Tellus Technologies Pvt Ltd - has been empanelled as a vendor of electronic signature solutions to NIC.

The empanelment was through a tendering process initiated by NIC India. This involved a rigorous technical evaluation by the NIC team.

The E-Lock range of digital signature products will be used by NIC for internal use as well as to bid for various projects. For their immediate requirement, NIC has already placed an order for E-Lock's desktop and web-based document signing solutions (E-Lock DeskSeal). These solutions will be used for signing and approving of reports, memos and orders within NIC itself. This includes documents that are exchanged between various state level offices of NIC also.

NIC is shifting towards a paperless environment, which will save time in completing processes as well as save costs in terms of paper, printing and exchanging of documents via fax or snail mail.
